Snowy Day in Vermont

CLICK to watch snowy video

Snowing like crazy here this morning, schools are cancelled, roads not yet plowed.
Do I grab a shovel?
No. I grab my camera and go out and schlepp around in the storm. Fun!
And then I go back inside, dry off, and decide that every guitar player who has the day off today because of the snow might like to have an extra fun guitar project for the day. And even if you don’t have the day off, you should. Because I said so.
So today only, all the stuff in the Getting Started With Guitar shop is half price. Just because.
That’s the book: Easiest Holiday Songs Ever for Guitar.
And the audio ear-training program: Guitar Intuition: Audio Ear-training Program for Guitar Learners
Here’s the only catch: you have to know the secret password.
The secret discount code is: snow. Just scroll to the bottom of the product page and type snow in the discount box. Bingo!
I know, I know, eventually I’ve got to grab the shovel. Have a great day ! Cheers, Lisa

I love my job

iStock_Dad+TeenGirl Ever since publishing my first songbook, Easiest Holiday Songs Ever for Guitar, I have received some of the sweetest thank-you emails.

Here’s one: “Dear Lisa, This is awesome, and very timely! My daughter and I are working on doing a duet with a couple of these songs. We are currently working on O’ Christmas Tree, with my 11 year old daughter working on the rhythm, and me the melody”.

So sweet! A family holiday tradition in the making?

Lots of people are grabbing the book and adding it to their collection, and that makes me feel just great. Here’s more about the book, Easiest Christmas Songs Ever for Guitar.

How did I get so lucky?

Best wishes, Lisa

PS: I think it has something to do with following my passion. 😉

My Favorite Songbook: Rise Up Singing

rusThis is my favorite songbook of all time!

It is a bit of a renegade project, but brilliant.
It errs on the side of inclusiveness, as opposed to detail, but hey, there’s a TON of music in there.

Look through it and you are GUARANTEED to find a ton of songs you know, whether they be from your summer camp days, your glory days, your family and cultural traditions, your midlife crisis, or your personal renaissance.

It’s a ton of fun! I’ll help you get started. Click below for Free Video lesson on how to use this book to access lyrics and chords to 1200 songs.
